On Your Birthday...

So, it's almost Christmas, and I should be posting Christmassy things, but here's a card I made last weekend for a friend's birthday.

I picked up those screw head brads somewhere, and I really like them on this card.

I'll try to be back sometime this weekend to post something else I've done, but if not, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone!

Wow, Time Flies...

Well, I've been pretty bad at this blogging thing lately. I actually have a ton of pics of different cards I've done, I just haven't had enough time to sit down and write up a post of any of them. Here's one of the reason's why :)

I sent off over half of them this morning, and still need to write in a bunch more and track down addresses.

I decided to keep it simple and just make a bunch of the same card that I blogged about awhile ago with different colour schemes.

Here's another pic

Finally, a new card!

I made this card last weekend and like it a lot. It's so simple, but looks so nice. I love the DSP in this card.

Stamps: Eastern Blooms, Short & Sweet (both SU)
Ink: Pacific Point, Basic Black (both SU)
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Always Artichoke, Green Tea DSP (all SU)
Other: Always Artichoke ribbon (SU), black brads

Bad Blogger!

Wow, once again I haven't updated in awhile. I'm not even sure why. I've done a bunch of cards and post-it holders, and I've even taken pictures of them. For some reason though, I haven't managed to post them :( I suppose I could blame the upcoming holidays, or the weather, or a million other things. I'll try really hard to get my act together tomorrow and post something.

G'night!

Sew Glad We're Friends

I loved Puns From The Past the minute I saw it. I didn't buy it right away, but got it last month, and used it for the first time this past weekend. Isn't it cute? I sewed the buttons to the ribbon to give it more of a "sewn" look.

Stamps: Puns From The Past (SU)
Ink: Close to Cocoa (SU)
Paper: Whisper White, Always Artichoke, More Mustard, Bella Rose DSP (all SU)
Other: Always Artichoke ribbon (SU), buttons

A Sketch Challenge Card

Here's my take on Jes's sketch challenge.

I used some Crystal Effects on the balloons, and think I might have gone a bit overboard on the sponging. :P

Stamps: Crazy For Cupcakes, On Your Birthday (both SU)
Ink: Basic Black, Chocolate Chip, Brocade Blue (all SU)
Paper: Whisper White, Riding Hood Red, Brocade Blue, Chocolate Chip (all SU), the DSP is from a birthday pack.
Other: Watercolour pencils (SU), blender pen (SU), wide oval punch (SU), ticket corner punch (SU), Crystal Effects (SU), sponges (SU), brown ribbon

Sigh.

I seem to have lost my crafty side right now. I think the weather is throwing me off. Winter is definitely started/here, and I just feel really lazy. I have a bunch of cards I need to cut for next weekend too, so probably that isn't helping. If I go in my craft room and be crafty, I'll feel like I'm slacking on my cutting obligations :P This weekend won't be much help, I have a birthday party to go to on Saturday, and then Sunday we have tickets to the GREY CUP! Whoo! Go Als!!! Hmm, I just realized I need to make a card for the birthday party. Yay, something to do! :)

Christmas Card Workshop - Card #7

Ooops! I missed a few days here huh? It's been a bit of a busy week, and I haven't had a lot of time to post/craft. Here's the last card I'm gonna post that I did for my Christmas Card Workshop.

I coloured in the picture using my watercolour pencils and blender pen, and then added some stickles. It's a pretty easy card, but brighter than the others, since it uses "typical" Christmas colours.

Stamps: Big on Christmas (SU)

Ink: Basic Black (SU)

Paper: Michaels

Other: Scallop Edge Punch (SU), White Gel Pen (SU), Watercolour Pencils (SU), Blender Pen (SU), Stickles, Spots and Dots embossing folder.

Christmas Card Workshop - Card #6

I wanted to include a card in the workshop that was just "winter-y" and not totally holiday related, as some of the girls don't send Christmas cards.

This is also a very easy card to put together, once again making it easy for the workshop.

Stamps: Snowfall (SU)
Ink: Brocade Blue (SU)
Paper: Michaels
Other: Ticket corner punch (SU), Snowflake embossing folder, white ribbon

Christmas Card Workshop - Card #5

I'm almost done posting all my Workshop Cards.

I think this one is really cute.

Stamps: Deer Friends, Season of Joy, Snow Flurries (all SU)
Ink: Bravo Burgundy, Going Grey (both SU)
Paper: From Michaels
Other: Scallop circle punch (SU), 1 3/8" circle punch (SU), Scallop edge punch (SU), white gel pen (SU), Swiss dots embossing folder

Christmas Card Workshop - Card #4

So simple, so easy, so pretty!

This card is super easy! I just stamped the snowflakes from Snow Swirled on the background, tore a piece of black paper and tied it to the side and added a quick sentiment.

Stamps: Snow Swirled, Snowfall (both SU)
Ink: Basic Black, Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze, Pacific Point (all SU)
Paper: Black and Cream
Other: Ribbon

Christmas Card Workshop - Card #3

Whee! I just made this card an hour ago and I love it. It's super simple, but I really like how it came together.

This will be another card offered in my Christmas Card Workshop (if you're in the Montreal area and are interested in coming on November 29, leave me a comment and I'll contact you).

I've done a couple cards now with random stamped backgrounds in different colours (I'll post the others in the next few days). I always use DSP to add the colourful touches to cards, but these are so easy to do.

Stamps: Season of Joy, Best Yet (both SU)
Ink: Riding Hood Red, Always Artichoke (both SU)
Paper: Kraft, Basic Black, Always Artichoke (all SU)
Other: Large Oval Punch (SU), Scallop Edge Punch (SU), Tiny Mosaic Texture Cuttlebug folder

I Love The Top Note Die!

So, I finally got my Top Note die yesterday that had been backordered. I love it! Here's a card I made last night, and I like it so much, I think I'm going to use it for my personal cards this year. Since the snowflakes were VersaMarked, I can do the same card with different backgrounds (I'm thinking Always Artichoke and Kiwi Kiss right now for other backgrounds).

I know yesterday I said I was going to be posting cards from my upcoming workshop for the next few days, but I didn't want to wait to post this one. I don't want to do it at the workshop though since I'm gonna use it myself :)
Oh ya, I used this die in my Cuttlebug since I don't have a Big Shot (shhh!). It worked great with just 2 B plates (don't use the white plate).

Stamps: Snow Swirled (SU)
Ink: Going Grey, Bravo Burgundy, VersaMark (all SU)
Paper: Bravo Burgundy, Very Vanilla (both SU)
Other: Top Note die (SU), Silver Elastic Cord (SU)

Christmas Card Workshop - Card #2

So, for the next few days I'm going to post the cards I'll be offering at my Christmas Card Workshop. Yesterday I posted one, here's another (yes Chelle, you can use it too - I based it on one I found on SCS):

I love the Snow Swirled tree stamp, it's so pretty. I just stamped this in basic black to keep it simple for the workshop, but it would be really pretty embossed. I added some red stickles to the tree, and some turquoise ones to the swirls on the background.

Stamps: Snow Swirled (SU)

Ink: Basic Black (SU)

Paper: Michaels (trying to use up some old paper!)

Other: Stickles, silver ribbon, D'Vine Swirls embossing folder

Christmas Card Workshop - Card #1

Here's a card I came up with tonight for my Christmas card workshop. It's pretty simple, which is good, we need quick and easy cards to do.

I was going to tie the ribbon in front, but realized I had enough to wrap back around, so I did that instead.

I love the swirly thing from the Season of Joy set. I don't love my white ink however. It's some Versa ink, and doesn't seem to be all that "thick". I think I'll order the white Craft ink in my next SU order.

Stamps: Season of Joy (SU)
Ink: Always Artichoke (SU), white
Paper: Always Artichoke (SU), gold paper from Costco, white cardstock
Other: Gold ribbon

Tuesday, November 4, 2008

I was inspired by this card that Heather posted the other day to make this one last night.

I was in the States this past weekend and managed to pick up some new Cuttlebug folders, so I used one here that I got. I really like the punched out effect of this Pocket Silhouettes stamp too.

Stamps: Pocket Silhouettes, Wow Flowers (both SU)
Ink: Chocolate Chip (SU), White
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Pink Pirouette, Whisper White (all SU)
Other: 1 1/4" circle punch, 1 3/8" circle punch, Scalloped circle punch (all SU), paper flowers, brads, white ribbon, Cuttlebug Floral Fantasy embossing folder.

Cheers to You 2!

Here's a similar card to the one I did the other day with the beer mugs. I love this stamp set with the Crystal Effects, they totally look like glass.

Stamps: Cheers to You, On Your Birthday (both SU)
Ink: Basic Black, Kiwi Kiss (both SU)
Paper: Whisper White, Kiwi Kiss, Tangerine Tango, Hawaii Papaya DSP (all SU)
Other: Spots & Dots embossing folder, watercolour pencils (SU), blender pen (SU), crystal effects (SU)

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween Everyone!
Just finished handing out the loot. We had about 160 kids, so there's a bit leftover for us. I'm having some girls over tomorrow to make cards, so hopefully they help me eat some of it!

Here's the pumpkin my hubby carved tonight. He got lots of compliments on it!

And, since I don't do Halloween cards, here's another card for tomorrow's workshop. It's a copy of Heather's card from awhile back, but I used googly eyes instead. Isn't it cute?? :) I also don't have all the punches she has, so some parts are hand cut...

Stamps: Best Yet (SU)

Ink: Basic Black

Paper: Michaels

Other: Scalloped Circle Punch (SU), googly eyes

Yay I Won!

Whoot! I won Jes's card challenge that I did with this card. Yay!

Crazy for Cupcakes!

Here's another card for this weekend's card workshop (birthday card themed).

I'm trying to use up some on my non-SU stuff, so the paper on this guy is just random stuff.

I really like this set, I passed on it on my first order, but then picked it up in October during the Birthday promotion.

Stamps: Crazy for Cupcakes (SU)
Paper: Whisper White (SU), purple and blue cardstock from Michaels, striped scrapbooking paper from a Costco block.
Ink: Basic Black (SU)
Other: Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder, watercolour pencils (SU), blender pen (SU), scallop edge punch (SU), ribbon.

Cheers to You

Here's a simple card I made yesterday. I'm gonna use it for my card workshop this weekend. I used the Crystal Effects stuff that I got in my last order over top of the beer, it really makes them look cool. I love it. It feels like it's missing something, but I'm trying to keep the cards as easy (quick) as possible for this weekend. This is supposed to be a guy kind of birthday card, do you think it works?

Stamps: Cheers to You, On Your Birthday (both SU)
Ink: Basic Black, Brocade Blue (both SU)
Paper: Whisper White, Brocade Blue, Riding Hood Red (all SU), striped paper from Costco
Other: Spots & Dots embossing folder, watercolour pencils (SU), blender pen (SU), crystal effects (SU)

Notebook #2

Here's another notebook I did the other day. I think they'll go well at the craft show... How much would you pay for one??

The "Frosty Days" stamp is another one I picked up at Walmart a few weeks ago.

Ink: Baja Breeze (SU)
Paper: Whisper White, Riding Hood Red, Ski Slop e DSP (all SU)
Other: Little Felt Flurries (SU), 1 3/8" circle punch, scalloped circle punch (both SU), corner rounder punch, white gel pen (SU), silver ribbon

... And The Winner Is...

Wow, can't beat those 1 in 5 odds :P

So, the random number generator I used picked Jodi's number!

Please email me at emily (at) uquest (dot) net with your address so I can mail off your candy.

Just copying myself

Last week I posted this card that I got some nice comments on. I decided to give it a try with some other colours, so here are two that I made last night. I chose the colours (Kiwi Kiss and Riding Hood Red) because I had scraps of that DSP lying around ;) Doesn't take much paper (or time!) to make these cards.

Mass Production Thank You Card Day

I've got a table at a craft fair in a few weeks, and thought that the sets like these ones that I've got for sale over on Etsy would be good to sell.

So, last night and this morning I made a bunch more... Here's a pic of the final results. :)

An up close shot of one for the detail:

A Card for Jes's Sketch Challenge

Jes over at craft-o-rama post this challenge the other day, and I've been mulling over what to do for it. Check it out for yourself, she's got some blog candy to go to the winner. Deadline is Sunday.

The challenge was to use just the cardstock base, with no additional layers. It had to include 3 embellishments and a sentiment as well. So, no ribbon, no pretty paper, nothing.

Here's what I came up with:

The card is 4 1/4" square. The wreath stamp is one I picked up at Walmart a few weeks ago (they had gotten a bunch of Christmas stamps in). The Season's Greetings sentiment is from the SU Snow Swirled set (stamped with Riding Hood Red ink). I coloured in the stamp with SU watercolour pencils and used my blender pen. Then I added some red, green and gold stickles to give it some sparkle. For the 3 embellishments I used some gold eyelets, not something I use very often. Considering that I wasn't allowed to add other stuff to it, I'm liking my card. I might add some ribbon to it though for after the challenge to pretty up the wreath a bit.

Little Felt Flurries

I bought a set of these little felt flurries with my last order (they're in the Holiday Mini catalog). They're pretty cute, and there are lots of different designs. Here's what I came up with the other night. The stamp I used is from the Best Yet hostess set.

Stamps: Best Yet (SU)
Ink: Baja Breeze (SU)
Paper: Whisper White, Riding Hood Red, Baja Breeze (all SU)
Other: Little Felt Flurries (SU), Ticket Corner punch, Large Oval punch, Wide Oval punch, 1 1/4" Circle punch (all SU), White gel pen (SU), pearl jewel stick ons.

Wednesday, October 22, 2008

I made this card last week sometime while waiting for my new stuff. First time using a wheel, and I think I need some practice. Still, I like it. I rubbed the scalloped circle punch out along my stamp pad a bit to streak it.

Stamps: Forever Flowers (wheel - SU), Pocket Silhouettes (SU)
Ink: Chocolate Chip (SU)
Paper: Pink Pirouette, Chocolate Chip (both SU)
Other: Scalloped Circle punch, 1 3/8" circle punch, 1 1/4" circle punch (all SU), brown brads, Stylized Flowers Cuttlebug Folder

Whee! New Stuff!

I got my Stampin Up! order last night, and just had to use some of the new stuff, even though I have a house that needs to be cleaned up :P

Here's one of my projects from last night. I used my new Stampin' Write markers to colour in the tree from my new Snow Swirled set before stamping it. I had other markers I used before, but even with "huffing" (breathing hot air onto the stamp) before using it, they never looked very good. I was super happy with these new markers though, they worked great for this.

Oh ya, I also got to use my new scallop edge punch. Love it!

Stamps: Snow Swirled (SU)
Ink: Always Artichoke, Bravo Burgundy (both SU)
Paper: Whisper White, Always Artichoke, Bravo Burgundy, So Saffron (all SU)
Other: Scallopo Edge Punch (SU), gold brads, ribbon

How come no one is signing up for my BLOG CANDY? Those are some pretty good odds right now :P

Wow Flowers - Happy Birthday

Here's a card I made the other day, wasn't sure what to do with the round Happy Birthday stamp in the Wow Flowers set, but this is what I came up with. I put stickles in the middle of each flower to give it a bit of sparkle.

Stamps: Wow Flowers (SU)
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Pacific Point (both SU)
Paper: Urban Garden DSP, Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Pacific Point (all SU)
Other: Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/8" circle punch, 1 1/4" circle punch (all SU), blue sticles, blue brads

Oh ya, and I almost forgot to mention that my latest SU order came in today. Stay tuned for lots of new projects.

Also, don't forget to check out my BLOG CANDY, you have until next Sunday.

A Flower for all Seasons - Spring

Here's the spring version of the winter one I posted yesterday.

I love the SU blender pens. They work so well.

Stamps: A Flower for all Seasons (SU)
Ink: Basic Black (SU)
Paper: Whisper White, Bordering Blue, Urban Garden DSP (all SU)
Other: Square and Scalloped Square punches (not SU - these are from Michaels and bigger), square silver brads, ribbon, watercolour pencils, blender pen (SU)

On a side note, I've been organizing my craft room. It's probably the cleanest it's been since I started making cards. I'll have to post some pics once I'm all done.

Also, don't forget to check out my BLOG CANDY, you have until next Sunday.

And some other blog candy...

In case my candy wasn't enough, I figured I'd better post a link to Kristin's blog candy. She's giving away 1200 eyelets. Check out her blog here for more details.

Blog Candy!

I've been promising this blog candy for weeks now. It was supposed to be for reaching 500 hits, and now I'm over 600. Oops! Forgive me? :)

Anyway, here's the loot:

There are some clear stamps, a blender pen, some ribbon, some jewel brads, some charms, a bunch of buttons, some googly eyes (to make sheep!), some popsicle sticks (to make popsicle cards!), a couple small cuttlebug folders, and a bunch of Prima flowers. (None of this is SU stuff, sorry...)

To win, you need to post about this on your blog, and leave a comment so I know about it. If you don't have a blog, leave a comment anyway, but you have to tell me why you don't have a blog, how you found me, and what kind of crafts you do. I'll ship this stuff to anywhere in Canada or the US. I'll pick a name at random to win. I'll give you all until next Sunday (October 26th) at midnight EST (so I'll post the winner on Monday the 27th).

:)

A Flower for All Seasons - Winter

I love this set, but don't use it enough (yet!). I made two cards with it last night with similar layouts. I'll post the other one another day. I'm sure I'll start posting more Christmas cards as we get closer to the holidays.

Still waiting for my latest SU order (hopefully it comes on Monday), so I had to use some other Christmas paper for now :P

There are red stickles on the flowers in the image, and gold stickles on the brads inside the flowers.

Stamps: A Flower for all Seasons (SU)
Ink: Basic Black (SU)
Paper: Whisper White, So Saffron (both SU), green paper from Michaels
Other: Square and Scalloped Square punches (not SU - these are from Michaels and bigger), Prima flowers, brads, ribbon

Five Days Straight!

Woohoo! I managed to update every day so far this week :)

Stamps: Upsy Daisy (SU)
Ink: Pink Pirouette (SU)
Paper: Bella Rose DSP, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White (both SU)
Other: Ticket Corner Punch (SU), brads, ribbon

Another Birthday Card

I got the idea for this card off the SCS gallery the other night. I hadn't really used much from the Tart and Tangy set yet and was looking for some ideas.

Again, it's a really simple, easy card to make, but I like it.

Stamps: Tart and Tangy, On Your Birthday (Both SU)
Ink: Riding Hood Red (SU), white, green
Paper: Riding Hood Red, Basic Black (SU), green
Other: Scallop circle punch, 1 3/8" circle punch, 1 1/4" circle punch (all SU), Cuttlebug folder, ribbon (Michaels), White Gel Pen (SU)

Three Days in a Row

Wow, sometimes I impress myself. :P I've managed to post 3 days in a row for the first time in ages.

Here's a card I made last night. It's so simple, and I love it! I love the paper from the Urban Garden DSP that I used. The colours are gorgeous.

Anyway, like I said, this card was so simple, it probably only took a few minutes, and other than the brads, it's all paper and ink (no ribbon, sparkles, embossing...)

Stamps: Eastern Blooms, Short & Sweet (both SU)
Ink: Basic Black (SU)
Paper: Urban Garden DSP, Basic Black, Very Vanilla (all SU)
Other: Black brads

Blue and Gold Christmas

Here's one of the cards I made this weekend. Still trying to find a Christmas card that I like and is easy. This is a good candidate! I like the colours cuz it's not your typical Christmas card colours, although not that far off either.

I didn't really like this stamp from the Season of Joy set (I got it mostly for the tree and the swirly thing), but now that I used it, I like it!

Stamps: Season of Joy (SU)
Ink: Baja Breeze (SU)
Paper: Whisper White, Baja Breeze (both SU), gold paper from Costco
Other: Snowflake Cuttlebug Embossing folder, ribbon, gold charm

The Notebook

I've been pretty bad at updating on here lately. This weekend I was in Toronto for a wedding, and also celebrated my 6 year wedding anniversary (!!). But I've got a few cards done, so watch for new posts this week. I've also got some blog candy together to celebrate 500 hits (now over 600, oops!) that I should be putting up this week, so stay tuned!

Now on to this post's craft. I picked up some hard cover notebooks at the dollar store this weekend, and tried my hand today at decorating one. I like how it turned out and will be making some more.

The flower in the middle is made with watercoloured paper that I cut petal shapes from and glued together.

Paper: Riding Hood Red, Basic Black, Bella Rose DSP (all SU)
Other: Riding Hood Red Designer Button (SU), D'Vine Swirls Cuttlebug Embossing folder, Ribbon from Costco, Notebook from the dollar store.

Simply Said

This isn't a new set or anything, it's actully been around for awhile, but it's still in the current catalog. I like it cuz it's so simple. I finally got around to mounting it last night and used it tonight. There are some stickles in the middle of the flowers to give it some sparkle, but it's hard to see in this pic.

Stamps: Simply Said (SU)
Ink: Basic Black (SU)
Paper: Whisper White, Bravo Burgundy, So Saffron (all SU)
Other: Large Oval punch (SU), corner rounder punch, watercolour pencils, blender pen (SU), white ribbon, gold stickles, Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder

Happy World Card Making Day!

Today, October 4th is World Card Making Day. I wish I had time today to make a whole bunch of cards, but I have to take care of cleaning up outside for the winter, and then I have a birthday and housewarming party to go to. But I hope some of you have time today to make cards!

Stampin' Up has a bunch of new promotions this month, check them out here. The Holiday Mini catalog is also out now too. If you see anything you like, you can order it online directly from me by going to my Stampin' Up website (http://emilykate.stampinup.net/) and click on the "Shop Now" button in the top right side. Your order will be shipped directly to you!

Now that business is taken care of, here's a card I made last night for tonight's birthday party (so, it was already World Card Making Day somewhere in the world!).

I ordered the Owl Together Now set with my demonstrator kit, and then thought it was gonna be really hard to get the owls to sit on the branch, or to have their hats aligned right, so it's been sitting on the side for awhile. I decided to give it a try last night and had a ton of fun. The blocks around the pieces aren't much bigger than the rubber part, so you can definitely see the bottom of what you're stamping to know where to put it. I'm sure I'll be using this set lots now!

Stamps: Owl Together Now (SU)
Ink: Basic Black and Pacific Point (both SU)
Paper: Riding Hood Red, Pacific Point, Whisper White, Urban Garden DSP (all SU)
Other: Scallop Circle punch, 1 3/8" punch, 1 1/4" punch, white gel pen, blender pen (all SU), googly eyes, watercolour pencils, stickles.

Is summer over?

Is it too late to make a popsicle card? I saw variations of this card all summer, but never got around to making one until tonight.

I bought popsicle sticks over a month ago so I could make one, but I was waiting til I got the Tart and Tangy set. Then I was just waiting til I had time to make it! :P

Stamps: Tart and Tangy (SU)
Ink: Tangerine Tango (SU)
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Tangerine Tango, Baja Breeze (all SU)
Other: Scallop punch, 1 3/8" punch, 1 1/4" punch (all SU), ribbon, popsicle stick

Upsy Daisy!

This is the first time I've used this stamp set, and I love it already! I'm also loving Kraft and Always Artichoke together. This pic doesn't do it justice (I hate taking pics at night). Hopefully I'll have some other cards to post later this week too.

Stamps: Upsy Daisy (SU)
Ink: Chocolate Chip (SU)
Paper: Always Artichoke, Chocolate Chip, Kraft (All SU)
Other: Corner Rounder Punch (SU), Oval Punch (SU), Green Ribbon

I'm Back...

Well, once again it's been awhile since I posted. I left for a week of vacation (to San Francisco!) the day after my last post, and have been catching up this week and also fighting a cold (I really need to get better, I feel like I've been sick FOREVER), so I haven't had anything to post until now. I notice I have over 500 hits now, I'm gonna have to post some blog candy soon!

I made this card today for a card challenge. The challenge was to create a Christmas card using one colour (plus white and black). So, this is what I came up with. I have a big square scallop punch, but it wouldn't fit in the corner, so I cut the punch out in half and overlapped it before putting the greeting cutout on top.

Stamps: Season of Joy (SU)
Ink: Kiwi Kiss
Paper: Kiwi Kiss (SU), Whisper White (SU), Always Artichoke (SU)
Other: Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder, Square Scallop Punch, Snowflake brads, black brads

Two Cards I Needed Today

You'd think I'd have some cards ready to use, but today I needed a blank notecard and a guy birthday card, neither of which I happened to have here.

So, here's what I made:

Stamps: Eastern Blooms (SU)
Ink: Chocolate Chip (SU)
Paper: Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Pink Pirouette (All SU)
Other: D'Vine Swirl Cuttlebug folder, Ticket Corner Punch (SU), brown brads, beige grosgrain ribbon

Then I needed a guy card. I suck at making guy cards, why can't guys like flowers? :P

Anyway, this is what I made, hope it's manly enough...

Stamps: On Your Birthday (SU)
Ink: Basic Black (SU)
Paper: Kiwi Kiss, Basic Gray, Urban Garden DSP (all SU)
Other: Large Oval Punch (SU), Black satin ribbon, Happy Birthday Cuttlebug folder

Haven't Updated in Awhile

I've seriously still been fighting being sick for almost a month now. I think it's almost gone (knock wood).

Here's a card I did last weekend that I totally cased from a card adonbrook posted over on SCS.

I liked how it used a bunch of the new in colors, so I gave it a try. I think it was my first time making a square card since I started :P

Stamps: WOW Flowers (SU)
Ink: Basic Black, Red Riding Hood, Pacific Point, Kiwi Kiss, Pink Pirouette (All SU)
Paper: Basic Black, Whisper White, Pacific Point (all SU)

I love the new stamps!

I love, love, love the way SU has made their new stamps. No more cutting required. All you have to do is push out the stamps (the rubber is die cut around them) and mount them on the blocks. I did like 10 sets that I got last week in about an hour (while watching TV). Only one set I got is the old way, and it's still waiting to be mounted :P

... and New Card #2...

I finished this one up this morning. I think it's cute and makes a great card for the fall (even though I'm so not ready for summer to be over yet!).

I used some of the new In Color colours for this card. Oh ya, and I tried out my new Stampin Up blender pens. Before I was using some that I got at Michaels, and I have to say the SU ones are waaaaay better. They blend better, and they seem to be more wet or something.

Stamps: A Flower for All Seasons (SU), Pocket Silhouettes (SU) (for the thank you sentiment)
Ink: Basic Black (SU), Tangerine Tango (SU)
Paper: Kraft (SU), Tangerine Tango (SU), Kiwi Kiss (SU)
Other: D'Vine Swirl cuttlebug folder, watercolour pencils, blender pen, flower brads, corner rounder punch, hemp twine (SU)

Finally... New Card #1

I was FINALLY feeling half-way decent yesterday and took the opportunity to play with all my new toys. Here's the first card I made. Not sure what I think of it. I do love the new Pocket Silhouettes set as much as I hoped I would though.

Stamps: Pocket Silhouettes (SU), Thank You Kindly (SU)
Ink: Basic Black (SU)
Paper: Basic Black (SU), Riding Hood Red (SU), Whisper White (SU)
Other: Spots & Dots embossing folder, photo corners
